Technology is changing every year and new ideas are being brought up every day. Also, I think it would be convenient for schools or educational programs to educate people on technology and how to use it. There are people in the world with no knowledge of how to use Twitter, Facebook or even Instagram. Not saying these social media sites are important but maybe unlike learning a second language in a course or taking an advanced algebra class, learning something you will use one day is more fitting than learning something you may never use in your everyday life.
It is essential to become educated in today’s world especially in technology. For many jobs, marketing and promoting is vital for business. Even when having friends or acquaintances through Twitter makes talking or sending information convenient as well. Being hip on the basics of technology which goes for IPads, Mac Computers and other gadgets helps in communication. I feel people need to be educated in classes from grades 6-12 and even college just to make people more comfortable with using the internet/technology.
African Americans connect through social media by sharing photos or tweets that each can compare themselves with. The African American community through twitter is almost like another planet itself. Facebook, Instagram and Vine are amongst other social media outlets that have joined the network. On twitter for instance, most African Americans tweet funny things or pictures and this attractive many followers. Instagram is the same, the funnier and better the pictures, the more their acclaim value rises.
African Americans strive to have high acclaim values because they may sometimes live a false life. Expensive belts, hats, shoes, sneakers and jewelry are the main cause of why a majority of African Americans aren’t as wealthy after they become stars or will never get. The best advice to give a African American person that focuses on social media is to get off social media and focus on the real life at task. Making business moves, posting positive things or even if the African American is an athlete, make him/her work hard.
I do not think YouTube creates challenges for television because each is different. Especially when a TV with great graphics and HDMI chords for video games makes the TV more usable. YouTube is great for looking up videos, new songs or video clips. If you want to watch a show, YouTube is not recommended. Sharing videos through YouTube does not take away from the greatness of the television.
I feel the computer may be the only technology update that takes away from the TV. Before people spent hours on the computer, they spent it on the TV. Though people may have an emotional spot for the TV, the television has been known to be the reason why the radio is no more. What the computer is to the television is what the television is to the radio. New updates of technology take away from old forms and people move on.
YouTube has a slight advantage over television because you are able to choose from millions of videos or clips and if something is recorded on there, you can choose that as well. Music videos are on YouTube so you will not have to see it through a television, possesses great advantages for YouTube. Overall, each has its advantages and disadvantages.
